Get Frisky with Fried Rice

After a Friday night getting dry humped by some hobbit-looking dude in a snapback, Saturday night was officially for the ladies. Lindsey and I decided to keep it simple, because we were tired, but also because I have managed to fuck up rice before. Somehow.

So here it is, our fried rice recipe for those who have already lost their willpower, only three days into the semester. Same here.

We forgot to take pictures right away, so what you're missing is just Lindsey cooking the rice. Follow the instructions on the packet, add rice and water, and (apparently this is important, I'm speaking from experience here) let SIMMER. Not boil. BIG difference.

Okay, so now you're cooking! (ha-ha). Now pour some frozen veggies into a plate and microwave them. We chose peas and corn.

Now pour the vegetables into the rice. You'll want to transfer your rice into a pan/pot with more surface area if your cooking pot is on the smaller side. Add olive oil to get that good crispy shit.

Awesome! Pour in some soy sauce. Just eyeball it, I believe in you.

Use a spatula to squish all the rice to one side and coat the other side in more olive oil. Crack three eggs into a separate cup, scramble them (for Faith-level chefs, just use a fork and mash em up), and pour it into the blank space.

Then take your spatula and vehemently scramble! (I have a really old phone so Lindsey's chill chops look aggressive).

When the eggs are solidified, mix with even more vigor! (Again, old phone)

WOOOOO! You just made fried rice! Now the most important part, taste testing (so that when your friends return in a drunken sparkly blur you can feed them rice like the cooking mama you are. Good job.)

With love,

Faith & Lindsey
